Unit 1: Kinematics

Unit 1 (Kinematics) is part of the calculus-based AP Physics C: Mechanics curriculum. Variable-force problems and differential equations require calculus setup; show your integral expression before evaluating.

Sign inconsistency when switching between vector components in 2D problems — choosing a positive direction for one axis but failing to carry it through the full solution

Common error

Conflating average velocity (Δx/Δt) with instantaneous velocity (dx/dt) when interpreting graphs or verbal problem descriptions
